When

We meet on the 1^st and 3rd Thursdays of the month.

Future Dates: February 16^th, March 1^st, March 15^th

Play starts around 7.30.
Tournaments start by 8pm (see below).

Where

We meet at the Melbourne Chess Club, 66 Leicester St, Fitzroy.
Friendly, convenient, central location.

While parking can at times be a ‘challenge’, I’ve always found a
spot after a short hunt. We intend to compile a parking guide.

Tournaments

Tournaments for everyone, from beginners to advanced players!

Play in our standard weekly tournament, for competent players at any level.
3 matches per player – win or lose! (time permitting).
Starting at 8pm sharp, we aim to finish before 11.30pm.
Call 0414-637999 to reserve your spot if you’re running late!

Ad hoc competitions for beginning players, depending on turnout.
For advanced players, our other tournaments offer significant cash prizes.

Recent Tournament Results

November 17^th. Another enjoyable tournament – winner Tony, runner-up Albert.
Creditable showing from several players including Bob N (3^rd) and Michael P (4^th).
Big welcome / welcome back to Anne, Rosemary, Nicholas and Bernie.

November 3^rd. 12 players – big welcome back to Artemis and Emmanouel!
8 players participated in the tournament. Winner David Kinston, runner-up Dan Mars.

October 20^th. 14 players – welcome to Janice, Rosemary, Rod and Alastair.
10 players participated in the tournament. Winner Richard Greenfield, runner-up Tony Hrysicos.
